Feast With Wisdom

(Pro. 9:1-6, 8-10, 13-18; 6/28/20; Dr. Baines, Jr.)

Introduction: A key idea in today’s Sunday School material is that wisdom’s call leads to blessing, while folly’s call leads to death. Prayerfully, we will be challenged to hear and obey the call of wisdom.

II. Becoming Wise.

Applications –

- Rebuke. Notice in vss. 8-9 the difference between rebuking a mocker and a wise person. ......Let’s be careful who we rebuke, and let’s respond to rebuke wisely.

III. Folly’s Home

Applications –

-Folly’s death-style. Notice in vss. 13-18 that folly is pictured as an unruly simple woman who also calls for the simple to come to her. However, her ways end in death. ..... Let’s work on the discernment and discipline needed to live wisely, instead of in folly.

Conclusion: Let’s work on hearing and obeying the call of wisdom. God has much for those who obey His will.
