Notice in our text for this Christian devotional that believers are urged to seek God’s kingdom first with the promise of all that we need being given to us.
As we strive to stay focused, we should make sure that the first thing that we focus on is God’s will and not our own will or that of others.
Prayerful study of and obedience to God’s word will help us understand God’s will. Don’t be guilty of trying to do your will first and adding God on later. Make this the day that you put first things, first, and make sure that God’s kingdom is first.
1. On a scale of one to five, with five being great, how well are you doing with putting “first things, first”?
2. What will you work on TODAY to help you do better or continue to do great in this area?
Great and awesome God, the One who is first, even when I don’t behave accordingly, it is to You that I pray. Thank You for Your gracious patience with me.
Please forgive me for not always putting Your will for my life first. Help me to do better in this area. In Jesus’ name, amen.
